77. Bahnhofstrasse

The one at the front door of the Bahnhofstrasse’s offices of the Zürcher Kantonalbank. There are many best in unusual places in Zurich: not far from here, there is fountain with a tiger slowly making its way to the lake and T. has even see an elephant running away down the Bahnhofstrasse, but… the purpose of this rhino out of jungle is no other but to guard the head office of Zürcher Kantonalbank. The work of Zurich sculptor John A. Tobler, Das Nashorn [The Rhino] is said to be  a symbol of security, strength and steadfastness. Everything we want in a bank, really.
